Tonights card is to begin at 7:20 pm eastern.

Only knocked out the first four so far today, because of darn time restraints:p.

2nd

1 CHI CHI CHIP recently aquired by Montini of who has ruined many of these type of trotters in the past.He is famous for taking these backclass type trotters, rack up a few wins, usually speedball type mile wins, then repeat his practices with another. This horse has ability, I remember him in the Maltby barn last year and thinking he could be a good one.Physical problems have hit this one hard and now he is in a bottom type claimer...Nobody in their right mind will claim this horse from this barn,so they get a free ride here if they can make him go.

2 KING COVENANT it's always been "good vibes" when this horse begins to stay up closer to the pace.Odds 2-1 in the morning line...that'a rough.

7 SHORT IRON another one with chronic physical problems. He has been in this cheap before and has on rare occasion looked three classes better.

4th
Is real interesting, 9 ALLIANCE DUHARAS as I have been saying for weeks now, this horse has some serious ability.I bet him in the elimination of the Hambo Oaks this year,so I certainly still believe he can win here even with the trainer Marc Camirand driving. In fact, there is no doubt in my mind that is why he drove him last week, was to get his price. The GP eliminate these guys almost all of the time.SB wisely spotted the late money being dumped on this horse last week 14-1 to 9-1 nearing post. Can only except 15-1 or better tonight on the w/p side.
The 4,5,2 and 1 are all formidable foes and will not make things easy, but they also will be the top three choices in here.

Hope to see some here tonight.Good Fortune:)

FLAMEWALKER went down in flames last time out. What, has he won 15 races this year? How many more does he have left in him?

Good Fortune Toe:) .

REDDINGTON SHORES has recently moved to the Ryan Maxwell barn. The former barn went completely dead and this horse was good for them early on last year and prior. This could be a big performer in here as well.

Here's the bet...

1-7/1-2-3-6-7 small box.

saver small 6/2-3 box

The track here is sloppy and that could help 7 SHORT IRON.He is taking some early action.

6 DURABLE DUKE looked like night and day soundness wise the last two weeks.Shows a win in the slop here a few back against cheaper,he has ability.

9 SUNDOWNER BOB eluded me the last two weeks. He's an open trotter when he is sound and this new trainer from Vernon has found the key. He's gone through a few trainers who weren't even close! I have seen some unbelievable parked jobs by this horse when he was in the Mcmaster barn against better.

Very wide first turn and parked a half. The trainer could have drove him better:p

Wow... that was a "welcome wire" for the win.Crushed late at the windows, I was very fortunate, he wasn't very good gaited at all tonight...won on "blood and guts"!

DURABLE DUKE just wasn't interested cutting it.He has always been an off the pace type.

10 $9.60...whew!!!

I think Macdonnel can use a vacation, as he seems to be lost out there for quite some time now.

10 HORSEWOGGLE was just way too far back in last.I have to think a leave here tonight is in order.

5 ONE HOT YANKEE wasn't sound at All last out.Co third choice in the pick3 with a change to Brewer here. That mile two back is an improver. If he is sound I will bet here and live on the board tonight. It certqainly looks like something was done to help this horse this week...I will step a little here.

A decent win/place #5

5/1-2-3-6-7-10 in a box

Alright...

Look at MASTER CHARGE coming off the pace in last.Always like constant speed horses show these type before a bet.

What happened to the #2 in last.MYSTICISM came back and was off the board at chalk odds in last.

GET OUT OF DODGE was good what happened to him?

I thought the #6 should have won last week...the MASTER CHARGE BEAT HIM off the pace.

Eight horse field so the bet here is

3 win @ 4-1 or better.

exacta 3/all...hope for a longer one the GP horses look beatable to me.

How can we beat 5 here RUNAWAY ENERGY? I don't think we can unfortunatly.

I like that race last week on the #9 DERVISH HANOVER, but this barn has cooled down bigtime.

triples 5/9/all....5/all/9.

small w/p 9 @ 15-1 or better.

Great call on the nine in your underpart of the tri's...

It almost played out very well IF he would have gotten second RTD.I made the right call ,but remember, I invested on an "ALL" here for the full triple as well as $5 w/p on the #9.Still a profit nonetheless. I will get my share of those beats turned around for the bigger one's;) ...Thanx.

This is one interesting way to view the races with other people. Almost like being at the track and conversing with fellow cappers prior to the race.. I really like this setup.

My problem is I can't get away from all the other tracks my site handles and when I get caught up with my results, it is nearly the last race or two at Mohawk.

One of these days I will put aside the work, heck, close the site down for a week and just spend a whole card doing this..

Botster, are you doing one of these for Jugette Day or Jug Day? Might be interested in the afternoon when I have less going on.

This interaction with fellow "cappers" that we have the priveledge to enjoy here really is the greatest thing to come along since "slicebread".What a shame only a handful are here to enjoy it.

Give me an analysis of a $5,000 claimer, and I am all ears!I want to know others and their betting strategies, angles, thoughts on trainers, drivers, and of course the opinions on horses themselves.

It seems the T-breds have this going on non-stop and us "buggy guys" are only one to their one-thousand!

"You would think", as big of a fan of this sport as I am, I would absolutely die for the big events of the sport, but I really have very little interest in them these days. The only big race that captures my interest is the HAMBO,because I try to make it every year in attendance. The negative aspects of the game have really turned me off getting "hyped up" for the big one's.I wish I was less "in the know", of things and could enjoy them more.

I am happy that you are fired up for Jug Day...there is nothing wrong with that.I can't promise you that I will be around for that, but if you can start one up I will try to join in.

Botster:

I too really enjoy the overnights when capping and betting. When the big days arrive, like the Adios, Hambo, Jug etc, it is a great day to get out to the track or otb and meet up with the friends and shoot the bull. I wager least on these types of days unless I crack a nice one early then lose my head.

Most of my wagers are done by computer or phone while at home or at a friend's place. I tend to be a talkative person by nature and get me to a crowd, I tend to forget the capping or betting and just enjoy hearing other people.

thank you for the social discourse.
