The reason you don't see a place payoff for that horse is because nothing was bet on it to place. (It paid $274.60 to win.)
I've seen this before at Blue Ribbon Downs, which has the smallest WPS pools this side of Bangor Raceway. About a month ago there were two races on the same card where a horse that hit the board had no show payoff. On that same day a 3-1 shot had no show money on it, but it failed to finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
Thank you...Honestly in all my year's, I never had come across something like this.

I have gone to Blue Ribbon twice. The first time the racing card was one step above a lowly State fair somewhere. The next time it was 2 steps below a state fair somewhere. When a 10k claimer is the featured race for the day, well, I will leave it to your imagination.

I looked it up on equibase.com and it happened on August 14. In the 11th race a 38-1 shot finished third and had no show payoff. In the 12th race a 114-1 shot finished third and had no show payoff.
The total WPS pool for the 11th was $1603; for the 12th it was $1162.
