Perfect trip in debut and outkicked by nonsense with worse trips.
Ranger James lays over these but using Peterdidit as a position play also.
No 1's on any of my tickets.

I don't know that it would have mattered but why did Desormeaux break Ranger James momentum to go between horses rather than just letting him continue to roll wide.
This horse takes a bit to get rolling and to break that momentum I think is the wrong move.
Hated the 1. Beat him but didn't have the winner.
