Ohio plans to spend $1 million on stimulus project signs

CLEVELAND (AP) - A state lawmaker is complaining about signs that let passing motorists know when Ohio road work is courtesy of federal stimulus money.
The state has ordered that markers identify Ohio's 365 stimulus projects at both ends of construction zones, at a cost estimated at more than $1 million. The money will come out of the $935 million in federal funds the state is receiving for highway work.

No, it is pork and a total waste of our tax dollars.
Advertising assumes future business will be obtained.
This is just stupid stuff to keep people from bitching.

where are the signs on the banks and houses that have been backstopped with fed funds.

They should be hung on everyone who has taken part in any of the fed gvt schemes to get into housing.

A scarlet letter of shame.

That would be about 80% of the homes in the country.

Don't worry. All of us umemployed people from Michigan can come down and wear the signs around our neck like they did in the great depression.....

BUT the governement will buy the signs from CHINA just like everything and everybody else does.
