Since that piece aired last night, it seems i have made several new friends. Most of them come from the left side of the spectrum, and they have decided to send me some well wishes. Here is a sampling:

I wish I had killed your mother before you were born.

I hope yur store burns down.

What do you know, you're a barista

Your kids are morons

You shouldn't be allowed to have kids

You're a second rate putz

I bet you can't even read you dumb redneck

Your a racist (that's been a common misspelling)

I'm feelin the love today!

I should have added some laughing dudes at the end of my post. I think its pretty funny that some folks are so full of hate.

Watch your fingers lsbets...those may be the next to go...Democrats and left-of-center folks have turned to cannibalism lately when confronted...

Sounds like you're getting off easy so far...

Gotta love those Democrats...the party of compassion...the party of diverse IDEAS...the party of informed DISSENT (remember ol' Hilary's rant?)

You're allowed to dissent...but only when George W. Bush was president...

It is comical how many are complaining Obamas indoctrination--ooops! talk when the public school system is the central institution in every modern nation by which the government secures control over the voters, beginning at age 5 or 6. More than any other institution, the public schools set the terms of discourse on politics, beginning with this: "Tax-funded education is the right of every child. Anyone who says otherwise is a threat to the social order."

So what else is new?

I am curious. How are these love messages being delivered. Are your customers saying this to your face? Do you actually know any of the folks expressing these sentiments. Is it affecting your business.

Stick to your guns. I believe that there are more of us than there are of them right now. We just haven't spoken up in the past.

The comments have been on e-mail. Folks in store who saw it think its funny and want to know how out of 300 million americans they came to rockwall and got me. I've also had some internet sales to new customers today, so I assume that is from last night.

A rather BS take on it for sure.
Typically, dems cannot leave race of anything - it their Great Excuse.

Fact is, Obama could be white, red, Green - he would still be Obama and that in itself if bad news. (well, he might be "red!")

And it was the whole country, not just Texas.

BTW, where do you get your Huffington Post - is it still wrapped around Double Bubble Gum?

The Dims probably think the masses are so terribly stupid, so incapable of critical thought that The People aren't intelligent enough or perceptive enough to recognize a radical ideologist when they hear one or when they study his policies; therefore, due to their own self-induced prejudices and erroneous presuppositions, they leave themselves with the only conclusion possible: The People's objections must be grounded in our prejudices against black people.. Projection at its finest...

Libs don't like it much when they're confronted with thinking people. These kinds of people aren't in their playbook. And they feel very threatened by thinkers (which is why they're chompin' at the bit to shut down conservative talks shows). Libs truly believe that the state must do the thinking for the masses because in their eyes we're not capable of handling that responsibility for ourselves. This attitude, which goes to the very core of libs' being, accounts for their unmitigated arrogance and their unjustified and haughty sense of elitism. Libs truly believe they are better than everyone else because they believe they know what is best for everyone.

One would discover the long, lost O.T. Ark of the Covenant long before he would a truly humble liberal -- an oxymoron if there ever was one.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jim-moore/the-lies-of-texas-are-upo_b_277749.htmlThanks for the contrasting viewpoint, SW.

lsbets, I don't know if you said anything positive about the intended speech that they might have cut, but I felt you came off more hard-line than you do here (I guess you really are planning to run for office ;)), but it hardly warranted the kind of response you received.

Obviously it was worth your doing, since a more acceptable approach appears to be in the works. I hope the final result is something your kids can get to see.

Ha! So mostpost says I came off as more reasonable and you say more hardline.

The actual interview was much longer, about 5 minutes. Soundbytes make the news, and they got the ones they wanted from me.

As far as my kids seeing it, I answered most in another thread, but the short of it is - my daughter is in kindergarten, she could care less. My son is testing for the advanced program all week, so he will not be pulled out to hear any politician speak. I'll let him decide if he wants to see it online after school, but he's 7 - I bet he would be a lot more interested in riding his bike, playing basketball, or watching Spongebob.

He has already formed some pretty strong opinions about Obama. Last week he came to me and said "Daddy, they're selling Obama backpacks on TV for $39.95" I asked him if he wanted one. He said "No, he already takes enough of our money." The kid gets it.

Yup, the public forced BO off point, making him to abandon his original message. Isn't that really cool? Don't you really like it when the public does all the forcing -- all the requiring -- all the mandating? It puts the government in its rightful place and shows the reprobates in D.C. who is boss.

Sir,
You are living in a dream world. What the hell do you mean "his original message"? Are you privy to the inside of his head ? You really have to get help!!!

One has to admire the BARD for speaking out all those years ago and defining, succinctly, an idea which has remained so strong today :MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

The rational parent allows exposure to a diversity of points of view and allows a child the options to their understanding. That is what make individuals not automatons.

Get your facts straight, you hypocrite! In socialistic societies, individualism isn't welcomed because this would allow for independent thought, critical thinking, intelligent inquiry, creativity, etc. -- all of which are anathemas to the state . Socialism revolves around collectivist principles not individualism.

lsbets,

I couldn't sleep last night, so I went out to the family room to read. I flipped the TV on, but wasn't paying much attention to it. Had the sound muted so I wouldn't wake my wife. I just happened to look up at the right time to see them air a brief snippet of your interview that I had seen earlier.

So, your fame lasted until at least 3AM this morning.

Nothing?
Nothing?
Not so fast, my good man.
Did you listen to the speech today?
I did, and I was appalled, downright appalled.
His grammar was not fit for impressionable school children to be exposed to!
A fine example he set for the nation's youth - poor grammar indeed!
"My wife Michelle, the First Lady, she.....
And he did it several times, not just once. Arrrggg! How can we teach them correct English when the prezdedent dosen't use it????
Inexcusable........and sad. A embarrassment to the world today.

The leader of the free world.... a rutabaga!
