This is a bad race for staright maidens on the turf. Turf is not my speciality. That said here is an analysis of this race where I think there will be value.
The favorite #2 8/5 is very weak and may go off at even money.
The second choice the #1 3-1 M/L. will get bet off some good works,however, the trainer is not great with first time starters and the last work was a gate work and this horse was having troubles breaking from the gate.
The #8 horse has not shown anything and gets claimed by Jeff Mullins for Richard Englander and all the wise guys are taking a shot with this one because of that. Therefore the DD adn Pick 3's will be underlaid with him.
That leaves the #6 Woman in Black. 4-1 M/L.
1) First time turf sire bertrando 16% turf
2) trainer good with sprint to route
3) trainer good with first turf
4) this is the horses 3rd race from a layoff. Before that this horse was trained by a zero trainer.
because of the circumstances with the other horses I am looking for 5-1 and an overlay in DD's and Pick 3's
