Great stuff! Those were the days. I loved that old program, the smell and feel of it.

BTW I have a rather large collection of Programs from that late 70's and all throught the 80's 90's and up the present. Lots of big NY and NJ stake races.
I also have the The Preakness Stakes program from Geniune Risk's bid.

Now that I have figured out how to post them on here after scanning them, let me know if you guys want to see more.
I also collected the old style mutual tickets from back then... Some from NYRA, MED, MTH, and others.....
I am glad to share these images from the past.
BTW that 1977 program had NO ads in it. And it cost 35 cents.

I would, my first program I saved is from 79, in that font. The Seneca handicap was run that day, and I think one of the entries has Richard Privitera aboard carrying all of his 101 pounds... :eek:

BTW in that Hopeful program there are the entries for Monday 8/29..Opening day at Belmont..
The featured 8th race was the Fall Highweight Handicap..
