BC Marketing Director Leaves for PepsiCo

Peter Land, Marketing Director for the Breeders' Cup, has accepted a position as Senior Vice President, Communications for PepsiCo.

"We identified Peter in 2007 as someone who could help us make the Breeders' Cup World Championships more of a mainstream sports and entertainment property and he did an excellent job, particularly with programs to expand consumer participation and enhance the Breeders' Cup brand. We wish him well in his new position," said Breeders' Cup president and CEO Greg Avioli.

I'll bet he couldn't identify a horse from a goat. Love these corporate types who pull down big salaries but in reality know little if anything about the sport itself.

I just checked my 401k...... Checking for any funds or other that have Pepsico securities.

I'll be selling them.

I also bought some Coke-Cola Nov, Dec, and Jan calls.
