Better Than Honour, who established a world-record price for a broodmare or broodmare prospect sold at public auction, is in foal to major sire Street Cry and is carrying a filly. The 13-year-old mare is owned by Michael Moreno and Eric Guillot’s Southern Equine Stables and is boarded at John T.L. Jones Jr.’s Walmac Farm near Lexington.

Better Than Honour was purchased for a record $14 milllion at the 2008 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall mixed sale by Southern Equine Stables. She was not in foal.

Lets remind folks that she foaled Jazil and Rags to Riches, winning Belmont back to back, and was voted broodmare of the year just prior to her sale.

Agreed...should be another 'big' horse for the mare...glad it'll be a filly, this way maybe, if she turns out as good as Rags, we'll see her race beyond 3 yrs.old...
if this baby goes to the sales...Jackson might scoop her up as another possible mate for Curlin...
now we have to wait at least 2 years :eek: to see how this one developes... I hope Better than Honor has an un eventful delivery.

Hmmmm...what name will she get...Honor Street sounds pretty good if they want to use mare & sires names...
