Well Monied is looking super these days as she heads for the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks on Saturday, Aug. 22.
She was an impressive winner of the Grade 2 Honeymoon Handicap at Hollywood Park, and subsequently ran a very decent second to Gozzip Girl in the American Oaks on July 5th at Hollywood Park.
I caught some video of her putting in an early morning work (http://maryforney.blogspot.com/2009/08/well-monied-preps-for-del-mar-oaks.html) Sunday at Del Mar:
She was clocked in 100.60 for the 5-furlong work on the all-weather track.
