more so than Demcrats according to Rasmussen (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/trust_on_issues).

"For the first time in over two years of polling, voters trust Republicans slightly more than Democrats on the handling of the issue of health care. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that voters favor the GOP on the issue 44% to 41%.
Democrats held a four-point lead on the issue last month and a 10-point lead in June. For most of the past two years, more than 50% of voters said they trusted Democrats on health care. The latest results mark the lowest level of support measured for the party on the now-contentious issue."

So lets recap this,
- democrats have introduced several resolutions on health care in the house.
- Obama has numerous scripted townhalls and press conferences.
- White House introduces "snitch central" site for people to report "fishy misinformation"
- White house introduces new information website to get out the "facts"
- Obama and Axlerod send out numerous emails asking people to act.
- Obama activates union thugs and Acorn agitators to quell opposing views "we'll hit back twice as hard".
- Pelosi, Obama, Reid and other democrats paint health care reform dissenters as Un American, KKK members, angry mobs, racsist, not representative, Rush Limbaugh drones, etc, etc.
- State run media also continues to carry the water and cheerlead for the administration.

and yet, after all these recent efforts, support for Democrats on this issue plunges in one months time to record lows. there has been a 13 point swing to Republicans since June!
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!!

I guess they don't like death panels. Surprising.

So lets recap this,
Republicans lie, claiming that Democrts want to kill all the old people.
People get scared.
Republicans pat themselves on the back..

Is a rather disgusting charade...the sad part is that so many actually think this is what a real debate on the issues looks like.

oh I almost forgot, they're also hiring people on Craigslist for $15 per hour to support Obamacare.

Since you have such a great interest in real debates, would you care to provide a reference to the Republican who claimed that Democrats want to kill old people?

Of course, because that's the meaingful debate we should be having. I noticed I didn't get much action in my other thread, you didn't want to engage over there. But this here...this is the real important stuff.

Hold your breath, I'll be back soon, I promise.

your other thread? the one about dialysis? I did participate there by pointing out how burdensome and filled with fraud medicare is, and that tort reform should be front and center. that is where we should be cutting costs and improving the current system, BEFORE talking about rationing the care for the elderly. there is NO part of the current plan to address that. witchdoctor backup up my point with a firsthand account of how burdensome the regulations are. I guess those weren't the responses you were interested in hearing so you didn't consider that to be part of the debate.

and Democrats are not interested in debate either, they are only interested in a government takeover. that is why they kept this thing bottled up in committee. Obama tried to have it released and crammed down our throats with NO time to debate before the August recess. Someone like you interested in rational debate should have abhored that.

In my view all thinking people should fear this, not only seniors. the disinformation is coming from the president who has lied about his intentions.

and basically I reject your premise that the falloff in popularity is primarily due to the one Palin twitter about death panels scaring off old people. The government option and the fear of ending up with nowhere else to turn to other than government insurance is scaring off young and old alike.

No, I gave you your points, no one is for fraud and frivolous lawsuits. By your own numbers, they are a drop in the bucket (I could give you as much as another 10% for frivilous lawsuits, you still have a $24 trillion dollar hole to fill -- so fixing those two things doesn't do anything meaningful towards fixing the problem. Maybe that's an inconvenient truth for you -- the fact that rationing and/or higher taxes are the only two fundamental outcomes for Medicare. You didn't dispute that, it can't be disputed -- and you neglected to mention which you favor. As does everyone else...because no one wishes to address the hard questions.

Hey, I'm probably to the right of you on most of this stuff, we don't have anything to argue about, really.

The best thing that could happen to this country would be if tomorrow someone would immediately kill Social Security and Medicare, those two enormous socialist blights on our system. No more rationing of health care and welfare money to seniors -- put them to zero I say!

Would be good if they also immediately put an end to the market deforming nanny state tax incentives like the mortgage interest deduction, and the child tax credit.

Maybe you could volunteer to be the point man for the town hall meetings -- seeing as the peeps out there would obviously flock to this message based on your polling data.

By demonizing rationing -- a scary buzzword if there ever was one, the Republicans are demonizing that which is aligned with their own ideology, that tax dollars are a scarce resource, and need to be treated as such. In fact the most ideologically pure conservative point of view, when it comes to government rationing, is 100% rationing -- none of these welfare type services whatsoever. By demonizing this notion they are demonizing that which must at some point begin to happen to a larger and larger degree with medicare, as our number of seniors increase, and as the full gamet of medical procedures becomes more and more expensive.

But just keep cheering for them. Rah Rah. Who cares what the arguments are, so long as they win.

You are lost in space as are 99% of the other DOPES in this country.

To say, "Stay the hell out of my life" - when they are already in it and in a BIG way is just beyond stupid or retarded.

But, I am more convinced EVERYDAY, that the avg joe is really below avg anymore in this country.

As they suck at the rotten tit of the gvt everyday and in every way, while all the while proclaiming their sides rightness.

Anyone who bought cars on the horrible c4c and the previous homes for clunkers is a hypocrite.

The country is lousy with them. It stinks and bad.
They don't have the grit for hard choices at a national level anymore, they really think the "other side" is to blame for all the problems with their life.

What maroons.

You can get AT LEAST 20-30% of the public to believe anything, that's because they already do.

State run media, what a joke, you really show yourself to be a crack pot there.

The "media" is run to make money by and for the corps. The money is used to buy the gvt.

It's so simple and plain that to see it called state run is to know that the poster is blind or drunk.

you're a little behind the times, by a gigantic margin, government is the one doing the buying.
you're wearing blinders if you think its only a matter of money, and nothing to do with promoting an ideology.
keep trying though, its humorous.

And the latest spin is that if you oppose BO in any way you are a racist.

Saul Alinsky tactics are alive and in vogue.

If you can't discredit your opponents remarks; disparage your opponents.

Nancy Pelosi & Dirty Harry - They are Un - American and Nazis. Very mature statements.

It is not the idea of rationing, it is the idea of THIS government doing it.
This administration is filled with thugs - ACORN and their thousands of offshoots sending in union goons to intimidate AIG families, now they are attacking innocent Americans who have dared question Prezdedent Mobster.....clearly, he cannot be trusted, and we cannot allow the govt to have ANY say WHATSOEVER in our HC system. You KNOW politics will be the criteria. Look at the car dealerships that were closed..........thugs are thugs and nothing more.
