The NYRA-1 account availability just got a whole lot better today. New York State got rid of the antiquated limit on number of simulcast signals and also the prohibition against wagering on thoroughbreds after 7:30 p.m. Also, the NYRA-1 account that required the account holder to maintain a $450 balance in NY and surrounding states and a $100 balance elsewhere, no longer has any minimum account balance. There is also NO charge per wager as at some other national account wagering firms. The six NY-OTB corps. also can set minimum threshholds on their account wagering systems and take unlimited simulcasts at all times. The NY racetracks also were given the ability to set their own takeout rates with a wide range. It will be intreesting to see what Barry Schwartz at NYRA does on this!
