I played Charles Town Race 3 tonight. I have the #9 Duck Hunt keyed over 5-6-1-3 in an exacta.
Well the 9 Duck Hunt looked like a $4,000 claiming equivalent of Manowar or Secretariat, flying past the field and building a huge lead!
I look up at the board and see 5,6,1, and 3 right behind my horse who is cruising. the odds were 41-1, 14-1, and 9-1. Only the 3 would be a lower payoff.........I'm counting the $$$$, when the 7 horse ran up late and got second.
A 2/1 over a 2/1 ! What a downer!.......it paid only $24.80...and I didn't even have it.
