And that's unusual, because?

My understanding is that New Jersey racing is fraught with three-horse fields, or am I thinking of Meadowlands?

Yesterday on their "BIG" weekend they had 65 runners in 10 races inncluding no race over 8 in the field and two 4 horse fileds. Like 'one' said he's looking at a $100k purse in a 3 horse field. Guess it's not a lot differnet than West Va putting up $750k to get a 6 horse field.

I have not bet one Monmouth race this year. Will break that today on the Haskell (Munnings, Rachel). But the small fields this year remind me of Golden Gate Fields/Bay Meadows.

Thanks java that was my thought, racing in a three horse field for 100k is indeed a very rare event. Winning that 100k is even better!

Congrats Onefast. In part due to your comments, I used your D'wild Ride in the middle pick 4. In what I would say is the most unbelievable price I've ever seen, Actin Good (5-1), all (a race taken off the turf after betting started), D'wild Ride at 5/2 and Fleet Valid at 4-1 in the 9th the $1 pick 4 paid $993. Parlay paid $75 for $1. Incredible- I was very lucky today to catch that.

Good luck the rest of the meet.

What a fine win, indeed. And, on Monmouth's signature day. Happy for you, Onefast! I hope you celebrated with a toast and a great dinner.
