Just spoke with racing 2 day and they informed me that there are no rebates what so ever.

Then i try to watch a race and it tells me i have to wager 5 bucks on a race to watch it. That is only for that race not the entire card.

Why would anybody wager through them?

Just thought everybody deserved to know.

If i am wrong please correct me.

Is it a single free $25 wager or is it just $25 deposited in account that can be made over the course of a couple wagers? Say I wanted to do a Pick 3, trifecta, and $10 win bet? Or does it have to be a single wager (say a pick 4) that needs to total $25?

Hi FlyinLate,

It can be any value you wish, the only requirement is you must wager a total value of wagers of $100 or more before any winnings can be requested from withdrawal.

Some of you would bitch and complain if you have a loaf of bread under each arm, a bottle of wine in your pocket, and a turkey following you around carrying a box of stuffing with its beak.

The company is offering a free $25 account with no strings attached except that you have to bet $100 before you can cash it out. It's a free shot at money. Even if the only track you could play was Northfield Harness, you aren't out a dime.

For those of you who aren't familiar with how ADW's work, a guy can't just wake up one morning, decide he wants to run an ADW, go rent an office, and expect the tracks to furnish access to the parimutuel pools. All of the necessary licensing has to be done in the jurisdiction that the ADW is operating from. Then a contract has to be drawn up with each track. In most states, the governing agencies that regulate the tracks has to be dealt with. Then, in many states, the ADW has to get permission to take customers from that state. Then there are regulations in some states that don't allow taking of bets on tracks in that state. Then there's the problem of some states only allowing X number of ADW licenses for that state, which means that a prospective ADW may have to wait in line for a license---if it can get one at all. Somebody who runs an ADW could probably help out here and list the many OTHER hurdles that have to be cleared---just to get a single track.

All of the above takes time, and it's rare nowadays for an ADW that to open up for business with a wide variety of tracks. Most accumulate tracks as they go.

I seem to remember PTC starting out this way, with a handful of minor tracks. I also remember many people (probably the same ones who are complaining here in this thread) were also whining and LOL'ing about how meager PTC's lineup was. PTC stuck with it and now has a reasonably good selection of tracks. If Racing2day keeps at it, they'll hopefully cut through the red tape needed and eventually get a good lineup, as well.

In the meantime, it might not be a bad idea to cut Racing2day some slack.

Yes you can say that score came from RDSS and their forum board.

Al;so I signed up to R2D because your promotion, thank you Bossman.

They are great and I have learned alot in the short time there, but they are just one tool of many that I use to handicap with , at now , but the day may come where they are the only tool, only time will tell, right now there are real easy to use , the learning curve is very minimal, I enjoy it, to me it is fun to use and makes handicapping fun again, check them out and say I sent you, I get nothing for it, but do it anyway , if you don't mind. Ask me about RDSS too if want.

Between the economy, all of the casinos, and the thoroughbred racing industry's attempt to self-destruct, it's a wonder that there's any handle at all.
