Anyone up for a little in-house contest?? Not that I have any prizes to offer, just thought it might be a fun way to attack those 2 races.............any ideas on BR limits, etc. are welcome, and I'll be happy to keep an eye on the "scoreboard" as those races draw near and are run........anyone in???

Sounds fun... Maybe a double and super-wheel..? Make a wager limit...? make a pre-post limit..?

Sounds fun...

yeah, I'm up for whatever, if we want to add Super wheels that's fine.......for that matter, we could just set a BR limit and let ppl make any wager (WITHIN those 2 races, so no P3s/P4s, etc) to see who can come out with the highest BR.............I'm on Pacific time, so its almost 9am here..........I'll say that whatever the consensus is at NOON my time is what we'll go with :)

Sounds good...

In the Jim Dandy: Saratoga Sinner...

*runs good off layoffs
*distance specialist: 2-2 at 1 1/16
*Improving horse: 2-2 in '09
*working great: back-2-back bullets, and 3-4 bullets
*LEPAROUX..!
*inside post at the spa in a route race... 24%...
*M/L is 6-1, but you will NOT get that... maybe 3-1 if we're lucky..

good point........we'll do it either way - - - got a suggestion for BR limit?? $100 seems pretty ample, IMO

I'm taking Rutherienne in the Diana. She was one of the top turfers two years ago, then seemed to lose interest last year with all those 3rds (many distant 3rds at that). But her two starts this year were solid. She ran right with Forever Together in the stretch at Keeneland before yielding late. Might be able to finally beat her today.

In the Dandy, I'm taking Kensei, although I'm not liking his ML price of 5-2. Not having gone two turns, I'd like to see him higher. But he won over the track last summer and might be still getting better.

OK, so how do we want to do this??? IMO, we can either just set a BR limit and allow any bets within the budget, OR establish that its a straight Daily Double competition and specify that you can only spend X Dollars on that (so you could go 3x3 or 2x4 or Allx1 or whatever, as long as its in the limit)

Thoughts????????????

my personal preference would be to allow 10 "units" of DD betting, meaning you could go 2x5 or anything less, INCLUDING a multi-ticket approach so long as the total is less than or equal to 10 units....................

And my play will be...

:5: :6: w/ :1: (2 units) x 5 tickets = 10 units, $20 ON $2 units

We both can't hit, so that's good news for you...!!!

I'm out...!

Still in to the :5: and I guess about $40 if I win................no real deal there, I'd rather lose and get a better foot-hold for the last leg of the P4
