WRONGO Porky ! Check out the wednesday card which i started a thread about on handicapping. The last 2 weeks of Belmont are always lousy, been that way as long as I can remember. At least the turfers at the SPA are mostly routes and not turf sprints which they did at Belmont . Heres the link

2 opening day stakes at SAR vs. none on closing day at BEL. Everyone who was racing at SAR were likely to be busy moving themselves and their barns for the big meet, so BEL was able to get whatever they could get - as Point Given noted, happens every year - natural occurance. There could be a few horses racing at BEL that might not be making the trip to SAR, and either go elsewhere or take a 6 week break and come back again in Sept BEL fall meet.
