I saw a horse running the other night at Evangeline Downs named "Candy Sass" ! :)

I didn't really notice it when I was handicapping, but when I heard the racecaller say it....it was funny! :D

It never ceases to amze me. My favorite "slip through" was Muffie's Diver. One other that ran in Maryland slipped in with the horriblly politically incorrect "Cake Cake Cake" otherwise know during the race call as KKK.....

The Jockey Club must really be a bunch of goofs when it comes to that.

How about this one....."WANNAHUCKALOOGIE"....:jump: or..."CRUISIN IN YA JAMMYS"

MY favorites were the Chingaso horses of the early '90s. Apparently nobody at the Jockey Club spoke Spanish.

I suppose with 10s of thousands of names applied for every year, there's bound to be a few that sneak through. :D

Mike Pegram had a horse named Let Him Out denied by the jockey club. Why? He was a son of Unzipped.

I got one by them once:

Abolish It.

Unfortunately, the horse ran to her name.

Mike Hunt.

Actually, I haven't seen that one but it would be a good one to try.

Mike Hunt is the name of an owner that ran a horse named Alie Took a Chance at CBY. One night I heard the TVG crew congratulating the connections on a win and thought my TV spontaneously switched over to a rerun of Porky's Revenge

In the words of Johnny Carson, "I did not know that". I do remember that horse, however.

At Portland we had a horse named Soft Unit. My favorite calls for him were if he started to make a move "Soft Unit is rising to the occasion" and when he started fading "And Soft Unit is backing up prematurely" but the one everyone seemed to like was when the rider was really getting after the horse "And Joe Crispin goes to a vigorous right hand on Soft Unit"

Still the best name I ever heard was "Shelikesitontop" and I think this horse is still running. You gotta hear the racecaller yell this one down the stretch.

Wasn't there another horse called "Who Fartid" that was another funny one to hear.
