Testing your sixth sense...

When you encounter a race, that by your "standards", to be a playable type of race, on a scale of 1 to 10 (& 10 being always right), what, number of times out of 10, would you say that your "first impression" (before any comphrehensive handicapping is done) of the race and the horse that you thought was best, actually "was" the "winner" of that contest....???

I'd say 6 to 7 out of 10 I land on the same horse after work that I did from first impression. Actual win percentage is closer to 3 out of 10.

I am a conservative bettor with strict "standards", and right now with betting 2 top picks I have to have a high strike rate.

Most of my best hits happen in races where I am not very confident for some reason.
