I've spoken to Brohamer via e-mail, and he had a spinal fusion not long ago. He's been in extreme distress and on heavy medication. Subsequently, he is not on the computer for very long due to the pain of sitting down.

Short of a kidney stone, my experience with this type of pain is that it is palpable: the patient is sweating with contorted facial expressions. Heavy duty narcotics just make the patient not give a shit but don't really make it go away.

Having back pain myself (moving furniture as a student for nine years in the Summer did not help) I can appreciate his predicament.

over the years. Starting in 1983 with the Yellow Manual. He will be in my
