Who cares?>?
What is her competition?? Lady Luck and Charlsie Cantey?
Give me a break.
If you really listen to what Jill says, all she does is recite what's in the racing form.
The only insight she ever offers is an opinion on a firster trained by her husband. And I repeat, who cares??
The next time I hear anyone say a trainer is a whopping 19% with firsters, what that really means is he loses with them 81% of the time.
If you do the research you'd see that first time starters especially in distances longer that 6f is the lowest win % in the sport and the majority of winning firsters come in Maiden Special Weight races where the overwhelming majority of runners are first time starters.
I just took a hideous beat in NY. Had made and early pick 4 play all/2,3,4,5/2,5,7/5,8 and got nostrilled by David Jacobsen at 6/5.
And probably yet another favorite selected by Jill Byrne.

Benfirst of all there is no one that is on TVG that gives out their own picks. they all read it off a piece of paper. i saw christina oliveres pick 5 straight winners in harness one night.
if jill byrne was so knowledgeable, why does she and her husband have such a poor percentage in training horses?
one thing good about her is that she does have friends in kentucky that tell her about their horses. whether she puts it on the air is another story!
