Excellent field in this year's Man O'War. Amazing how the United Nations is a "Win and You're In" and the Man O'War isn't. Also amazing, two Grade 1 stakes for turf marathoners, back to back Saturdays on tracks a few miles apart can have competitive fields. Anyway, in a field chock full of closers, can Midships be lone speed? Victor is in to ride, can he withstand the cavalry charge in the last furlong? The European horses look tough too. Gio Ponti always seems to find a way to win. This race has an October feel to it. This race was Curlin's turf "experiment" last year. Imagine, finishing second in a Grade 1 was a disappointment.
