Dave, I'm Bob from todays webinar. I really feel for you on the 7. Enjoyed the experience immensely. I hit 5 out of 7 at Bel today and ended up losing 80 cents,, :bang: . Obviously I need a little work on my bet proportions :confused:

The longer I am involved in this game the more I see that how you bet is more important than how you handicap.

There is another post going on this site about winning without handicapping. I was really tempted to say, "I don't handicap" but decided it would be misunderstood.

In what you saw today there was no "handicapping," only contender selection.

Admittedly, the contender selection was very sophisticated and I did use some "handicapping" to see "who I left out" (such as that now-infamous 7).

However, in terms of answering the "who do I bet?" question, handicapping was not involved in any way.

The final selection is simply watching the tote - not in the sense of "who's getting the action" but in the sense of preferring "long" horses over "short" horses. When in doubt, play long.

You made a nice 10.51% ROI...But you were only 2 losses away from giving that back after hitting 13 of 18 races. If you can keep that high percentage up over the long haul. More power to you and congrats!!!

I looked at that card yesterday morning and thought there was only one horse worth betting all day.....what a shitty card it was........i put ten bucks on Wesley wards 2nd timer in the first race and walked away for the day.........
