So far it looks like they suck at what they promote,serial bets,and do about what an average player might do on win bets.
Matt had a $51 horse Friday so that boosted his ROI. He had 48 bets,invest $96,returned $118 for +21% ROI. MrB had the second largest number of bets and did much better than I thought he was doing. 47 bets,$94 invest,$98 return for a +4% ROI. The rest were all negative I believe but they did not have as many bets for me to judge.
If you look at some of these bets,I think there is a fair amount of copycatting going on as far as their top selections which leads me to believe they probably shortcut it that way if they dont have time or no opinion. Look at the last race from 7/5/09 at Hol. They all picked the 8 who didn't hit the board. I find it hard to believe this lukewarm favorite was everyone's top choice. You'll find similar patterns in the results.
So far I think Rich and Lo Duca may be a little overrated,I think Nick H did best in the serial bets and may be underrated. Anyrate,I think they didn't do so bad collectively to only amass a -12% ROI on win bets.
I'm leaving on vacation for a couple of weeks sans computer so if anyone wants to continue this so we can get a decent number races to accurately rate these guys,feel free.I'm done. P.S. Excel makes this work fairly easy.

So far it looks like they suck at what they promote,serial bets,and do about what an average player might do on win bets.
Matt had a $51 horse Friday so that boosted his ROI. He had 48 bets,invest $96,returned $118 for +21% ROI. MrB had the second largest number of bets and did much better than I thought he was doing. 47 bets,$94 invest,$98 return for a +4% ROI. The rest were all negative I believe but they did not have as many bets for me to judge.
If you look at some of these bets,I think there is a fair amount of copycatting going on as far as their top selections which leads me to believe they probably shortcut it that way if they dont have time or no opinion. Look at the last race from 7/5/09 at Hol. They all picked the 8 who didn't hit the board. I find it hard to believe this lukewarm favorite was everyone's top choice. You'll find similar patterns in the results.
So far I think Rich and Lo Duca may be a little overrated,I think Nick H did best in the serial bets and may be underrated. Anyrate,I think they didn't do so bad collectively to only amass a -12% ROI on win bets.
I'm leaving on vacation for a couple of weeks sans computer so if anyone wants to continue this so we can get a decent number races to accurately rate these guys,feel free.I'm done. P.S. Excel makes this work fairly easy.
