I second what Sal said.

With the possible exception of Kenwoodall, most everybody is looking for a false favorite, and this is a big help.

The converse can be true also. The FF in the 9th at Calder suddenly became a big play at 12-l with 5 min. to post. Went off at a 8-1 and won for fun.

yeah cane I was just about to single that11 in the 10 at CD, he still looks pretty good on paper and iam not going to throw himout but i will add 3 more horses with him to make a pk 4, and thats just fine with me heheh

whadayaknow, after restructuring the pk 4 I wanted to play at CDs the cost would have come to $54 2,3,8 / 4,10,11 / 4/ 1,3,6,7,10,11. I threw out the 1 horse in the 2nd leg as he was a close 4th fig horse and a bad betting favorite in your report, and kept the 11 horse in the last leg, as he was my top fig horse in that race but also a bad betting favorite in your report, but he just looked a little to good on paper. So I put in the ticket and it came back, not enough money in the account at $52. So I got this call on a sewer job to get to and I didnt really want to take the time to up the account and bla bla this and bla bla that so i play 2 pk 3s with those 4 races instead and head out the door. Well after 11 1/2 hrs. it takes to clear this beast of a sewer line I get home check the results and hit both 3s, which means I would have hit the PK4 as well, as I had two pk 3s rolling over 4 races. After seeing the the payoff on the pk 4 it dawned on me that, hey, if I would have put my thinking cap on for a half a second, all I would have had to do was eliminate the horse that I couldnt throw out in the last leg, the 11 horse, which was a bad betting favorite report horse, and the pk4 would have then cost 45 bucks without the 11 as opposed to $54 with the 11. hey! theres an idea. Pk 4 pays what, 720 bucks. well some days you land on the moon and some days ya miss.

geez wheres my head, thanks kaneie, good reporting, I realize that, hey man, some of those favs are going to win when you throw em out, but sometimes thats just the way it all shakes out.
