is hooking up router for laptop easy ?

I bought a Siemens router for two computers (both desktops) in 2002. Plugged it in and fed it the Network Cables from both machines and the router made all further decisions (even though one of the machines is Win98) and I replaced the newer desktop and have never had a problem. Not a direct answer but I hope it is encouraging.

If network is set up then a new laptop will connect in one or two clicks.

If new router, then they usually have a CD Wizard to guide you through. You might need a network cable direct to the laptop for the initial setup. You can go wireless after.

Most of the router mgf's offer support leaps and bounds above most every other hardware/software companies.

I've had two routers (same brand) which are supported by internet provider (even though not purchased through my provider) and whenever there is any problem, they provide endless support for free.
