What should we do? They are threatening nuclear war. It's a little scary to think about it.

Well, its obvious that N Korea wants to ratchet up the rhetoric. Their leader feels the world owes them and usually, he gets his way with past rhetoric and threats. Problem is this time he has, in my opinion if followed through, committed an act of war. He has DIRECTLY threatened the launch of a missile at the U.S. If he carries it out, I think its an act of war. As soon as the missile reaches international air space, it should be shot down and then I would rain down on them a large portion of are arsenal. I wouldnt use nukes, but the carpet bombing during vietnam would seem like a mosquito bite on a comparitive scale.
Now some here may say thats "outrageous". But N Korea has proven time and time again that they do NOT want to be a RESPONSIBLE country of the world. I am not asking for them to become westernized either before some posters here think I am saying we are trying to take over. They just need to be RESPONSIBLE citizens of the world. They continue to prolifirate weapons around the world. They continue to threaten their neighbors. They have kicked out inspectors. They are so brazen now that I don't see a road back for that leadership.

Now for those of you who say, "well his weapons can't reach us". I would say your right...for NOW. But Kim dung has steadily gotten his weapons further and further. How long do you wait? Till a missile hits Hawaii, Alaska, Or the west coast?

Hitler's weapons couldn't reach us either, but he was doing just like Dung Il - developing missiles and working on nukes. He was close when it was over.

I hope I am wrong, I hope we shoot the missile down and do something. However, I think we will do nothing. So far, when it comes to crises Obama has proven to be weak, insecure, and indecisive. The man is not a leader.

I remember when I was a cadet and we were rehearsing basic battle drills - react to ambush, indirect fire, etc ..... One kid couldn't remember what to do when he was in charge and he froze. He did not react at all. One of our instructors, after telling him what body part to remove his head from, sat us all down and told us that when under fire to make sure we did something - freezing and doing nothing guaranteed only one outcome - death. Rehearse and practice so that reacting becomes automatic when the pressure is on. Prepare yourself so you can make the right decisions when you don't have the time to think about them. Make sure you are ready to lead when the time comes.

Obama is that kid who froze in the kill zone. He in unprepared to lead under pressure. Hopefully he learns quickly. If not, the world could become way too interesting a place over the next couple of years.

Sadly, you are no the only one who has noticed this.
The hesitation that Bush caused is gone.

However, what we shouldn't overlook is that while BO will not want to take decisive action, he may be forced to from a political standpoint. If the U.S. were to be attacked by a two-bit country like North Korea, BO would then have to face the outrage of U.S. citizens. The irony here is that his cowardice, his indecisiveness, his dereliction of duty as commander-in-chief all would probably be the "tipping point" with the American public. We have sometimes talked about the possibility of him "overreaching" and how that would inflame the anger of the people -- but I believe the opposite is true, as well. Refusal to act in accordance with his constitutional duty to protect American citizens would cause no small stir in this nation. And which liberal politican going to stand up and justify such inaction with something like..."well, we got just what we deserved"? Or with, "After all, "our arrogance" required punishment"?

I would assume that our fellow citizens in Hawaii are a bit nervous. Where is the reassurance from the chosen one? He has an obligation to defend his fellow Americans, after all Hawaii is his place of birth:rolleyes:

I guess he is too busy playing b-ball or pushing his socialist health plan to be worried about direct threats against this country. What a joke this guy is; an abomination, a disgrace and a coward !

Part of his master plan.

Probably. Wouldn't surprise me if he took out a contract with Kim Yong II on his birth place.
