All this talk about California being broke, in a financial crisis, yadda yadda yadda.

LA is kicking in one million bucks for a parade for the Lakers.
Guess "crisis" means something else in California.

Ironically , after the Lakers victory last night , cars were turned over , fires were started , beatings took place , and 25 were arrested . I suppose this is the reward ... a parade .

NOT a single one was used however and the crowds were settled with good old fashioned tought not thuggery.

maybe they are thinking that getting 100k people to downtown LA will create some shopping, eating and a boost to the local economy :)

I work with several retired RCMP and city police and they are very rational fellows who think that the overuse of tasers is lazy and ridiculously short sighted.

If the threat of being tazed or even shot were in place , these low-life vandals would look for another form of entertainment . As it is they're arrested randomly , held overnight in most cases , and wait for the next championship or whatever comes along .

What the heck,today a cool mil seems like chump change.After all,Aaahnold refuses to cut,or even acknowledge,the 10-15 billion a year that illegals cost California.And how many trillions is Obummer cranking out on his printing presses?I cant even count that high..

As I understand the slang, HANG means go around socially. NO ....I work with these fellows.

I do not understand why these "people" are not "stopped" when they are peforming criminal acts.

taser my ass, mow em down.

An orderly parade is a waste of money but if they must run amuck like animals then you do what you do with a rabid animal. Put them down.

i think in the back of the minds of the leaders of the state, they plan on crying to the feds for a bailout when they need money and can't figure out how to suck anymore from the citizens.
i think what you have in this country now is the blind leading the blind off a cliff.

Not so fast. Tweety turned 60 this week and has been under great stress about the way Obama has taken the country. He claims that the defense system against cats and other terrorists is sorely underfunded. He's having difficulty getting bird seed as Warner Brothers isn't paying him.
The parade for the Lakers is a last straw.
