Huge Minus Place Pool at Belmont Today

Barring any late scratches, for those of you who like to jump into the minus show or place pools, watch the pools for Race 4, the Ogden Phipps. The entry of Seventh Street, Music Note and Sea Chanter will have a huge place pool for it...no show wagering allowed. Seattle Smooth is a decent horse, but the other horses are garbage compared to the entry. Its not very likely that the entry finishes out of the top 2, but ya never know I guess. I'm staying away from this race, but thought others might be interested.

Guess the Sheikh wants this one real bad to enter three in here.

May Seattle Smooth, Rachel Alexandra and the Godolphin girls all meet this fall in the Beldame at Belmont.

There was a minus place pool of $114,385. Of the $592,630 wagered to place, $566,108 was placed on the Godolphin/Darley entry per drf

making a huge place bet isn't the best idea. I'd recommend waiting until there's a race that looks just as good and offers show betting.
