Selections for "Trackmaster" contest 6/13/09

:jump: I never had much success with the annual "Trackmaster" contest.....I did ok and always showed a profit, but that is not what it is all about....Being a conservative spot player, I was always playing it too, too safe....

So this year I decided to change things up a bit, and get a better mix of both steady and bolder selections....

So, I decided to have some fun with this, and post my picks ahead of time...

These are all bettable hoss', and have legitimate shots at winning, meaning they are not outlandish pot-shots, if that is worth anything to anyone.....

If this strategy fails, I will become even bolder in the next outing....Ya gotta get some double-digits to have any shot at qualifying for the finals....We'll see

YOu are right MONEY, that early deadline IS NUTS...it makes it so hard to give proper weight and focus to the handicapping....

While the T-bred guys are done for the day, and are working on tomorrow's races, we are still busy with the evening's races, let alone the next day's menu, and it is especially tricky if you want to look at abunch of tracks...

OH well, that is what we got, and ya gotta do it, if you want to get "famous"...:D

So far 2 for 4 on the afternoon winning the 14th at Pocono at 5/2 paying $7.80, 6th race at Pocono horse got 3rd with a 50-1 bomb winning. At Hoosier 10th Race the 10 had the lead in the stretch, lost the lead and right near the wire stuck his nose back in front but a 20-1 shot came flying at the end to win. Had more luck in the 11th with the 4 going wire to wire at 8-1 paying $19.00. So far so good, $200 bet $670 in winnings for a $470 profit.

Thx Biscuit, but the rest of it was a complet mess....The best I could manage on the day for the TM-contests was 2wins and 2-2d's....Still, I had a couple of really long ones that gave me a good run....another day maybe to the good ?...Pocono was a sloppy mess, at least for the 2 races that I picked....Had 2 or 3 others that were complete puzzlers, as they should have run better in my estimation....

Bottom line, tho...in retrospect, I wished I had spent a little more time and on fewer tracks, as there were some other interesting propositions that were in line with the way I look at the hoss' racing....

I will make a new plan, perhaps just limiting myself to just 2-tracks, as last nite I would have had some real nice ones no matter the venue, except for M-1, especially at Pocono...oh well...I will keep trying..........

P.S Biscuit,. what have you been up to lately, & are you in the survivor or trackmaster things ?...
