The problem with low odds: There is no way of knowing what final odds will be.
Many times an even money favorite at 0-1 minutes to post, gets bet down in one or two flashes to 1/5-1/9 after race has started. There is no way to control this.
Today, there were 16 possible bets starting at 1:00 pm and ending at
11:10 pm. That's a long day, it's such a drag. The 16 bets were reduced to 8 qualified with 7 coming in to place. On $2.00 bets, there was a profit of $2.70 for a ROI of 16.9%. Hardly worth the ten hours.
Another problem is that most of the tracks with qualified bets are minor and betting $200-$400 will affect the mutual prices thus reducing the ROI.
This is not the way to go.
