We have been listening to this on the news for two days now and are still in shock. As most of you know, my husband and his family are Jewish and this has really gotten to him.

How sick of the person that did this. The news said it was an 88 YO white supremist that was woprried about his social security being taken away.

There were other options open to him if he only looked. He did not have to do this. There were kids at the museum. Wonder how badly this will affect them?

Sorry if this is not the most eloquent of posts ever put on here, but I visited the museum. It left a lasting impression on me, as did visiting a concentration camp while I was stationed in Germany. I'm just feeling...I don't know what I am feeling right now. Weariness of all the hatred out there maybe?

I feel for the gaurd's family. They had his son on tv being interviewed and I felt so bad for him. I guess the one good thing is he was stopped before he got further into the museum to get more people. He killed the one man that opened the door to welcome him into his work area before [thankfully] being stopped. I hate to think how many more would have died if he had been allowed to go further into the place. I just hope he does survive his wounds so he can face the justice he deserves....

This was indeed a tragedy. The problem you will find in society (and this board is no different), is they attempt to find reasons for these things. The problem is that there are just some things that can not be explained. But there will always be finger pointing. Yes, this thread (as most do) turned political. I merely pointed out that the writings left behind by the museum shooter mimicked almost WORD for WORD a recent interview by the good Rev. Jerry Wright.

Thus, I wondered aloud how the right is getting blamed for this when it is a man of the far-left who spoke the same words only a day before the museum shooting. Then I offered proof of such.
