In honor of this being the sixtieth anniversary of the release of George Orwell's 1984, here is the orignal Apple Macintosh commercial. Directed by Ridley Scott, it only aired once during the superbowl, and to me the most powerful commercial I ever saw, contrasting the Mac against the backdrop of an Orwellian (IBM) world.

The next video is a knock-off of the same ad, used to spoof Algore and his global warming campaign. I also think this was done pretty well.
