After watching Magna implode over the last few years, it was hard for me to imagine a more dysfunctional group owning Santa Anita ... till this morning: TOC among interested Santa Anita bidders (http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/51152/toc-among-interested-santa-anita-bidders).
I'd like to be optimistic about the possibility of horsmen running a major track, but the TOC hasn't impressed me as a group that can "play well with others." Of course, the same can be said about nearly every group in racing. :)
