I'm not one of those people who thinks that every race is fixed, but, this one was certainly suspicious. I happened to be in Saratoga over the weekend and went to the Racino on Friday night.

In the 12th race, as you can see Coppola was on a 3/5 shot that finished out of the money. What made me smell a rat was that he had the rail, the 3 horse leaves, but, rather than make a 1/4 move, Coppola was perfectly content to sit the pocket. Of course, the horse on the lead gets passed and Coppola is shuffled out of the money. Now, notice the exotic prices. You had a 5-1 on top of a 35-1. With the odds-on horse out of the money, that exacta should pay AT LEAST $300, and with a 47-1 third the tri should have paid AT LEAST 2K.

Your answer to the low payoffs are in two places.

1st on the bottom of the results it says,
"Total Handle: $135,887"
That money was spread among 13 races and 48 different pools.
39 w/p/s, 3 dd, 3 supers, 2 p3s & a p4.

2nd the results 4-5-6 consisted of 3 consecutive #s. Some people like to play #s and i'm sure that at least one of them lucked into the money on this race.
