What's so amazing ? That the guy is a complete idiot ?

He died from being an in line path from voltage to earth. A voltage of AT LEAST 550 but almost certainly much higher.

I'm in the trade - it is not amazing, it is gruesome. And I can tell you beyond any doubt that his life, had he somehow survived, would be spent in misery.

One fellow I know was hit with 3600 volts. He survived and has only a right arm and right leg left and every day he wishes he were dead. His faith prevents him from committing suicide.

I don't mean to bust your beachballs but this stuff is anything but amazing.

Maybe it is you, sir, who can't distinguish between "amazing" and "tragic" or "gruesome"? And could that be due to your very limited and warped view of reality? Perhaps you've become so desensitized to that which is tragic, horrific and sad because you spend too much time vegetating in front of the boob tube?
