The U.S. senate voted overwhelmingly to deny BO's request for the additional $$$ needed to shut down Gitmo.
Is this because the Senate suddenly realized that closing down this base was not in the best interests of national security?
I think not. Could it be that BO now knows that this closure would endanger US citizens but cannot admit that he has made a mistake, and his Senate buddies are falling on their swords for him? After all, no funds, no closure.
BO can blame them and they can declare that they are protecting their constituency.
I would call them whores, but then that would be insulting to the oldest profession.
