I know! I haven't heard an explanation yet. Purely speculating, since mine can mean "to extract", it's possible that it means they were mining a champion from his sire, Birdstone. Who knows, though.

The dam's name was Mining My Own so I guess you can combine that with the sire's name.

The real truth he was driving on the highway and someone gave him the finger.....(the bird) ,and in retaliation gave him back the bird thus (mine)
the other option it is it not spelled correctly and was suppose to be mind the bird
