I know it won't be easy but I think Rachel is something special and will prove it by winning today. If she can overcome the 13 whole and beat the boys she will have proven that she is special

I beg to differ. I think it will be easy. I can see her winning by 8 or 9.

She could blow the race open on the turn and come home under wraps.

Fact:
Rachel has 2 losses that both occurred when she returned within 15 days.

She was a gawky 2 yr old then... in human terms...she's gone from a girl to a woman since then...

15 days + 1 3/16 miles makes Rachel a dull filly . :)

the experience i have with fillie's is that good ones can become great ones inbetween the 2yo year and 3.

this is what has happened with rachel alexander. last year she was unable to put a good race in with less than 15 between races. that surely is a bad sign because most 2 year olds are able to do it. but she is now 3 and she has become more mature with the time. it might have taken that time get her head together.

i think that is why alot of people are doubting her right now, and with good reason.

personally, i see rachel as a great 3 yo of all time, all she has to do is prove it to us today.

SHE WILL

The reason she won't win is the race was not on her dance card.

First time I've had the time to get over here since Sat. morning...toussaud, you said it right...me too:faint: ...from the second they started loading the gate, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and thought I was going to hyper-ventilate...what a race, what a filly...and that little Bird is for real...

I was bouncing all over the :jump: room during the stretch call...WOW!!!!!!
