Not only does Tommy have a shot at the double, but in the 4th, Tommy saddles what should be on the Preakness coverage tomorrow. BOB BULL, a 4 year old who was claimed from Schell on December 10, 2007, makes his improbable comeback to the track.
Connections after Schell left 'Bug Eyed' BOB in a slaughter pen. A couple months back, Tommy got a call from some caring ladies informing him of their find. Tommy immediately got the little guy put on a van back to Calder.
After some tlc, Tommy began the job of getting 'Baby' BOB back to the track. A steady work tab followed, and tomorrow, could mark one of the greatest 'worst to first' stories ever. Let's hope.
BTW, Tommy also saddles LAURA'S LUCK in the 12th. She closed with a lot of interest in her last, so there is reason to be optimistic!
