As far as I can see looking at all past races, these are the only 2 horses running in the Preakness who have *never* finished off the board in any of their races.

So not hitting the board in a 2 year-old maiden race at 4 1/2 furlongs has some sort of meaning in this race?

Does it matter that they spent most of their career running at lesser venues?

Distance will NOT be a problem for Big Drama. Watch.

The fractions will (possibly be). The charge into the first turn and the time at the quarter are by far the most interesting things in the race to me. If the 1/4 is :47+ and Big D is on the rail without problem, Johnny V is going to have a rocket in his pocket, pun intended.

2 year old foundation and 6 of 7 record means something. If you don't think it does, prepared to get burned ... and at nice long odds

i thnk big drama is classy but has distance limitations. his pedigree suggests sprint

Big Drama got hurt by that inside spot. He has no choice but to gun it right out of the gate. He has some serious speed. Rachel Alexandra will come right over and sit off of him. He got wobbly legged at 7 panels last time when DQ'd. He will wing it, but that stretch run looks to be his undoing.

What's the StevieZone saying for the Preakness?

My picks?

Pioneer of the Nile
Big Drama
Musket Man
Rachel Alexandra

You wouldn't bet Big Drama at 12-1?

He's not in my picks...but thought you guys might be interested in a tiny bit of history...during the Pursuit of the Crown program they mentioned that no horse has ever won the Preakness from the 1 hole...
I know all these tid bits & 'facts' about the TC races are falling apart...like BB and post #20 last year...but, hey, it's food for a little thought.
:)

Good luck:ThmbUp:

I thought Tabasco Cat won the Preakness from the rail? But I do agree its not a good post from a win percentage.

I never would have guessed that. Has to be an abnomoly, how many low odds horses have come out of post 1 I wonder?
