Belmont May 15th, 2009- Joe Kelley Spot Plays
Great day for our Thursday plays in two races we featured . In race 3 , Summer Palace won for a payout of $ 20.80. This old-timer was much the class. In our maiden turf claimer play in race 6, our Tutti Va Bene hit for a more than healthy $ 26.40 . The jock change to Ramon Dominguez helped as did the turf breeding.

RACE 5 (Grass Only)
Plenty of odd distances today and we take a crack at a 7F sprint on the Widener. Two horses that pique our interest are # 6 MINE OR WHO'S and # 8 SONIC SOUND. Both fillies have had success on Belmont grass which is positive. Mine Or Who's wintered down in Louisiana and we are most impressed by her Dec. 18th race where she raced wide throughout and closed fast, made up a ton of ground and only finished 1.5 lengths out of the winner's circle. Sonic Sound goes route to sprint after a win last out. Charlton Baker is 20% with this maneuver.
PLAY: Win bets on # 6 and # 8 at 3/1 and higher.

RACE 8 (Grass Only)
# 8 ZIPTRONIC is a 3 year old gelding going for Linda Rice. Has shown great ability on dirt and now tries grass for second time. Should be prominent throughout. City Zip is such a versatile sire that we see Ziptronic dancing on the weeds.
PLAY: Win bet on # 8 at 3/1 and up.
