I heard that Friesan Fire isnt arriving until saturday, the day of the Preakness. Can anyone confirm this? I know he is not far away but why wait until the day of?

He worked out 58 2/5 Tuesday at Pimlico. He is already there!

In the old days, this was the norm, sometimes after spending 2 days on a train, and then they would work the horse the morning of the race! Can you imagine that scenario today?

He shipped last-minute to the Sham as well.
SOP apparently for this horse, doesn't seem to bother him.

Another website has a stat that since 1980 the Ky Derby favorite if they run in the Preakness has ran third or better 87% of the time.
I believe Friesan Fire was the Ky Dby favorite and the show price should be good if RA runs out which is possible since she is on the far outside.
