What is with Hollywood?

Is is that hard to finalize the next day's card? They have already run three races today and the final PPs for tomorrow still aren't available.

How hard is it to assign program numbers 1 through 5?

This drives me nuts too. Only track that seems to consistently take this long.

Hmmm...http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/39.gif Maybe Hollywood Park has a lack of entries again for a card, and they are holding the entry box open later than usual to see if they get enough entries for Thursday. Perhaps it'll wind up being another cancelled card.

Thursday's entries were drawn on Sunday. The card will not be canceled. BRIS had Thursday's Hollywood PP's up on Monday and they have had the form with the ML since this afternoon. This seems like a DRF issue.

Entry problem, or lack thereof again is correct. Right now 3 of the races have but 4 entries, trying to get at least 6. How far has So. Cal racing fallen? Of course CD cuts days and has smaller than ususal fields as well. Without slots Texas may lose racing within 2 years I predict.:confused:

So much for the artificial surfaces keeping horses sound and having those horses flock to So Cal to race.

Remember when we all looked forward to the Hollywood meet with big fields, huge pools and just great racing?

Those days are long gone. Bring back the dirt already.

With the short fields and lack of betting pools (lack of revenue) there have been many job lay offs. Those remaining now have multiple job assignments. The word is, the Fry Cook on the Mezzanine level now has the responsibility of posting odds and entries to DRF. That venue had a last minute rush of customers (two) and he has been delayed. Please be patient. Hollywood Mgmt. has assured me we will get them prior to their cancellation of the race. :eek: :faint: :eek:

California tracks have always been slow with pps..Many times I've downloaded my data files the day before and the California tracks were the ones missing often..Obviously they weren't up yet at tsn..They need to get the led out..

At the time I wrote that post, the PPs were not on BRIS or DRF with 4 races run. They showed up shortly thereafter. Most tracks have them 2 or more days in advance. With SoCal, it is about 20 hours.
