Looking back through my records, I see these cycles of my performance at Mnr. I kill it for a while, and then all of a sudden, nothing seems to make sense for me. I've learned that when this happens, I need to scale back my betting until it swings back my way. Since the end of the week, my "wtf is happening" cycle has been in full effect at the Mountain. I usually judge this by how well I predict the pace scenario and what percentage of the winners I have in my contenders.

I, like eveyrone I'm assuming, have cold and hot spells, but for some reason, at Mnr they are magnified in both directions, and don't correlate with my overall horse racing "luck." Luckily, the ups more than offset the downs, and if I can identify the trend soon enough, it really helps.

For now, I'll be on rail, watching and waiting for things to come back in line for me.

I agree. mountaineer is running hot and cold for me too. I am starting to like the tracks that offer the 10 cent supers. I'm actually doing quite well with those. Of course 10 cents is the minimum but you can wager on them for a lot more. I seem to have trouble handicapping the 8 and 8.3 distances at mnr so I will have to tweak my algorithms for those distances or avoid playing them. mnr is good for monday but there's are lot of other tracks going on wed-sun that offer the dime supers. I'll be checking out hol for tomorrow and I like evangeline cause of the big fields and the supers in every race.
