Can you imagine the discretionary income a person would have by making a bet like that? I wonder how much they actually paid into the pot with all bets.

Gene Simmons of KISS had a reality show on cable a couple of years ago. One of the episodes was filmed at the Ky Derby and his wife bet 100,000 on a horse. They showed Gene in the clubhouse trying to cancel the ticket and Churchill Downs refused his request.

Could have been part of the suspected Cal Ripken group or even his wife. They have the money to spend and the bet makes sense from that standpoint.

Had a fellow in Vancouver who hit the super from that race on a ticket just under $600.00. He is a millionaire owner wouldn't you know.
