In "Deal made over signal to tracks"

it said the mid-Atlantic tracks' three-year simulcasting agreement with Churchill Downs had expired at the beginning of this year.

I'm curious why CD didn't stop sending signals then. Were there no CD tracks running for the first quarter of the year, or what?

I never really thought about it, but yes, all the Churchill tracks have spring, summer, and fall dates. I guess that's the reason.

I'm curious why CD didn't stop sending signals then. Were there no CD tracks running for the first quarter of the year, or what? Probably the old contract terms were honored until a new agreement was reached.Happens alot in business,work at the old rate until you can agree on a new contract.
