A fine quarterback, public servant, and vice-presidential candidate. Rest in peace.

I just saw it last night on the scroll on ESPN as I was monitering sports results. Must have been one of those "sudden" seaths, like Danny Gans, a popular Vegas entertainer who died sudenly coiuple days ago. Sad stuff.

So sorry to hear this.

Its probably not true but it seems that professional athletes die prematurely.

I once read, that men who played Pro Football had an Avg lifespan of 55...
Maybe true, maybe not.

Lefty- not far off. Probably, because of the incredible strains and beatings they subjected themselves to, plus the lack of consideration for the player's health in the formative years of the league.

Kemp wasn't the best QB the Bills ever had, but he was certainly # 2. RIP.

Joe Ferguson was #1?

Uh nooooo...

Jimbo is #1, always will be to me, as I watched him live throughout the glory years. Named so to the All Time History team by the fans.

I believe he was diagnosed with cancer 4 months ago; I would think that is not a sports related disease.

Kemp was a great quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. I remember him with Cookie Gilchrist in that backfield they had a formidable offense. He reminded me of Bill Wade the old Bears quarterback.
