FF did not look good after his work, nervousness is a fairly common thing at the gate when something is bothering the horse. the daily racing form now confirms this.

Larry Jones is a great trainer, and it's a shame what the media and organizations like PETA did to him last yr.

He may leave racing at the end of this yr, but he'll be back. He won't be able to stay way. Racing is like an addiction.

Poor Larry, you have to feel bad for the guy after losing Eight Belles last yr., but I think he was running a horse that was limping in the post parade to tell you the truth. Devine intervention in his getting hurt saved his life. It could have been de je vous again for Larry.

Well he's already said that his wife will continue training, and he plans on "helping". :) So officially, he's not training, but of course he'll still be on the scene and around horses......he loves 'em.

I had heard that but didnt know it was official.

I just read where he said that in one of his interviews.

I meant the word "official" in a different way than you took it, as we all know he has "officially" announced his retirement, not "officially" announced that he is doing anything else.

"It’s going to be hard for us to get too far out of the game, but you won’t be seeing Larry at the barn seven days a week, 24 hours a day,” said Jones.......
“As far as this being 110 percent of our focus, it’s not going to be. We’ll still be in the game...."......"he decided last year he would retire at the end of this year, at least as a public trainer.......
Though Jones is ready to stop being a public trainer, he's leaving the door open to staying in racing in a family way. Cindy Jones, who owns Just Jenda and other horses, has a trainer's license, and Larry said he and Cindy eventually might operate a small stable with family-owned horses at home in Henderson, Ky. "I may let her train for a while and be a gallop boy," Larry said.

He did say "we" so I'm assuming he means he and Cindy Jones. Helping her as a gallop boy.
