My plays for Sunday May 3rd at Woodbine...
R3 #6 Daverick 12/1
Will be the horses second start of the year. In his first time out got caught in a speed duel covering the first 2 furlongs in 21.3. Can hopefully avoid getting involved in such a battle in this spot which certainly doesn't contain a ton of early pace pressure. There may be some from the #1 or the #2, the #6 post position can be favorable here allowing Landry to have a good view of how the race is unfolding towards the rail. Also put down a respectable work of 49.1 going over a sloppy training track on the 28th of April, the third fastest clocking of the day.
R6 #5 Salomea 5/2
There is really no pace pressure in this spot, the horse which can get to the front first and determine the pace for first couple of fractions should be in a good spot to potentially wire the
field. Was unable to win in 2008 and gets a much needed drop in class at a distance which she has shown to like (4 1-1-1 going 7 furlongs). First start of the year with workouts thus far seeming to indicate that she is in good form.
5 units to win on each
Best of luck to everyone!
